I'm not sure if Gita has a clear answer on this topic, but I tend to like Taleb's take on this. You should all the time be looking for asymmetric actions to take: the ones in which if you're right, the outcome can be really good, but if you're wrong, the worst outcome is not too bad.
Which causes more harm- doing the wrong thing or inaction?
Without life experiences, how do we figure out when to take risks and when to do/say nothing.
